I have spent the last 20 years in VFX, supervising and contributing to a wide range of projects spanning tv, film, and advertising. I have experience with creative direction in traditional visual effects, as well as motion design, and graduated from Academy of Art University with a BFA in Animation and Visual Effects. I am currently serving on the Oregon Board of Managers for the Visual Effects Society.
As a VFX Supervisor, I collaborate with writers and directors to bring their vision to life in a way that their budget supports. I break down scripts, bid, attend scouts and meetings, supervise on set, and creative direct a team of artists all the way through delivery. I have led teams of over 40 artists and multiple episodes with $1 million+ budgets. I work seamlessly with other production departments, helping to problem solve whatever may come up on the day.
In addition to supervising, I can also work on the box as a 3d Generalist.
Aside from VFX, I have always had a love for the outdoors and a thirst for speed. I grew up skateboarding and snowboarding, and will race anything with wheels and an engine. When not at the office, I am either on a motorcycle, on a mountain, on a river, or doing an assortment of Pacific Northwest adventuring.
